Education: The teaching of interactions with the outside world as well as social skills. It should allow for the 'educated' to be formed into a well-rounded person therefore including teaching in social, academic, and health informations.
I think that is a very good personal definition of education. If you are only smart and have no social skills what can you really do in life. The goal of true education is to become a well rounded person.
I agree with your definition on "education". It is so much more than textbooks and lectures, perhaps more about the people sitting to your left and right. Those are the people that teach you real valuable life lessons.
